The fire flow simulation was conducted using Bentley WaterCAD V8i.
The area to be analyzed is the downtown historic area from King Street to Orange Street and from Cordova Street to Avenida Menendez Blvd. This project includes extensive data collection and simulation of available flow for the downtown area in The City of St. This project includes engineering drawings, construction plan, storm water design, drainage calculation, and permitting with City of St Augustine and St Johns River Water Management District. MAI has been assisting the Department of Military Affairs in several engineering design project including parking lot design and warehouse addition to wash rack improvement from St Augustine to Camp Blanding, Starke. MAI provided these engineering services as well as the construction drawing and storm water calculation to obtain construction a permit with the City of St Augustine. The improvement includes new paver parking surfaces, entrance, curb and gutter system as well as a storm water management plan. The project was successfully completed before schedule and with no change order. The project challenges were the presence of alligators, mosquitoes and rain during the construction. MAI installed the proposed wooden boardwalk system in Guanna Park for FDEP to provide an additional accessible walking trail that connects the existing trail system within the park. Project included approximately 3,000sf additional steel frame building, air conditioning, concrete and tile floor, concrete block wall, additional two bathrooms, two offices and a break room. The new addition provides much needed additional air conditioned office space for the warehouse staff as well as additional space for the equipment distribution center. MAI designed and managed the construction of the new warehouse addition at Camp Blanding for the Department of Military Affairs. Camp Blanding Warehouse Addition, Stark, FL Project included installation of the additional travel lane, new sensor and automatic gate system, pavers, asphalt pavement, concrete curb and gutter and landscaping. Residents access using the designated travel lane and don't have to wait for traffic to clear. MAI provided the design/build effort to construct and renovate the entrance at Marsh Creek subdivision, St Augustine, FL to improve the traffic flow and safety. MAI Engineering Services (MAI) provided engineering services such as developing plans permitting and construction management for a 2-acre site, including a proposed 20,000 SF building, parking lot, entrances, sidewalk, retention pond, bulkhead system, landscaping, gravity sewer system, oil/water separator, sand trap, fuel station and paving, grading, ditch stabilization, storm water, riprap erosion control, and drainage design. The engineering services included providing the complete construction plan, landscape, drainage plan, storm water calculation and permitting with City of St Augustine and St Johns River Water Management District.Ĭity of St. MAI provided design and the permit of the additional parking area with value engineering and saved construction cost utilizing pervious material. All American Air ConditioningĪll American Air Conditioning Parking Lot:Īll American Air Conditioning needed to add additional parking area to serve their fleet and customers. Mai assisted the client with final design and permitting through St Johns County and City of St. The storm water treatment system consists of an underground exfiltration retention system. The project includes approximately 10,000 sf of office complex, parking lot, landscape, and storm water treatment system. Provided construction observation, as built, certification and construction management.
The projects typically include obtaining permits from DOT, railroad companies, the county and city, submerged land easement, Army Corp of Engineers and Department of Environmental Protection. The projects range from 1 mile to 45 miles of natural gas pipeline in northeast Florida. MAI is involved with serveral of the nature gas pipeline design and construction projects with TECO People Gas throughout Florida. Project Experience TECO People Gas Pipelines Projects
